Thyme is noted for its antiviral, antibacterial, antiseptic as well as expectorant properties that makes it well indicated for treatment of infections as it promotes healing throughout the body. It is a wonderful oil to use in a room diffuser to ward off colds and flu.

Thyme oil can be used around the household to clean surfaces and remove any unwanted odors.

When applied to the skin, its cleansing and purifying properties makes it very useful in skin care, including to help reduce acne, the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles, and for spot treatment. When used in massage blends, thyme oil help relieve fatigued, sore and aching muscles.
